Biography
Our Pastor
Elder Robert B. Jackson—affectionately known as “Passa Bobby”—and Lady Taresha Jackson serve as the pastoral leadership of Greater New Life Ministries, located in Manor, Texas. Passa Bobby believes that every believer—whether churched or unchurched—should enjoy the victorious benefits of salvation through Jesus Christ, achieved through spiritual and natural development. He understands personally the challenges of rebuilding one’s life after setbacks and disappointments.
Passa Bobby has been connected to the Church of God in Christ since his youth and young adulthood. After his conversion in Korea in 1987, he served faithfully in numerous roles, including Sunday School teacher (youth and men’s classes), Young People Willing Workers President, Youth Facilitator/Leader, Executive Finance Committee member, and many additional supportive roles across various COGIC ministries.
In July 2000, Passa Bobby was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ—a milestone he regards as the greatest achievement of his life next to salvation through Jesus Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit. He later served sixteen years as the Pastor of Perry Memorial COGIC in Gause, Texas, where his ministry and faith teaching were further developed. His love for the people of Gause and the surrounding communities continues to this day.
In 2019, Passa Bobby experienced a personal setback and resigned from pastoral ministry in June 2020. In December of that same year, he was restored by the Lord. From 2020 to 2023, he continued to preach and evangelize whenever given the opportunity, remaining prayerful and hopeful about returning to pastoral leadership.
Passa Bobby deeply honors the men who mentored and prepared him for ministry, including Pastor Marrell C. Battle (Greater New Life COGIC, Fountain Colorado), Bishop Daniel Roberson (Greater Shiloh COGIC, Corpus Christi), Bishop S. E. Iglehart (TSW Jurisdiction), and Bishop Maurice Green (TSW1).
A special acknowledgment is given to Bishop Roberson for his steady hand and unwavering mentorship—“my forever father in the ministry.”
Education
Passa Bobby holds the following degrees:
- Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Tarleton State University
- Associate of Applied Science in Business Management, Temple College
- Associate of Applied Science in General Studies, Pikes Peak College, Colorado Springs
He is also licensed in insurance, taxation, and Level 3/4 security.
In 2023, Passa Bobby and Lady Taresha joined All Nations Christian COGIC in Austin, Texas, where they were married by Elder Nolan Tracy Mitchell, Pastor. Passa Bobby continued to serve faithfully under Pastor Mitchell until recently receiving the call and confirmation to plant a church in Manor, Texas.
Passa Bobby and Lady Taresha share a blended family of six children and five grandchildren. He is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, and she is a native of Smithville, Texas. Both are proud Dallas Cowboys fans and enjoy international travel.

CHURCH HISTORY
OUR HISTORY
Greater New Life Ministries of Manor, Texas was founded under the vision and leadership of Elder Robert B. Jackson, Sr. (Passa Bobby) and Lady Taresha Jackson. Both were faithful members of All Nations Christian COGIC in Austin, Texas. For many years, Passa Bobby carried a deep desire to pastor within the community where he lived. After purchasing a home in Manor, Texas in 2024, he sensed a strong need for a new ministry in the area.
Seeking God’s direction, Passa Bobby entered into 40 days of prayer beginning October 1, 2025, asking for confirmation regarding the call to evangelize, conduct missions, and plant a church in Manor. During this time, he personally surveyed residents in both Manor and Austin, Texas, to better understand the spiritual needs of the community. He was surprised to learn that many individuals living in the Manor/Elgin area did not attend local churches but instead traveled into Austin for worship.
After discussing his vision with Lady Tee, who wholeheartedly supported the calling, the two of them continued surveying the community about their spiritual needs and affiliations. The response was overwhelmingly clear—there was a need for a new ministry in Manor. Yet, Passa Bobby continued seeking the Lord for personal confirmation that he was the one called to begin this work.
On Saturday, November 15, 2025, Passa Bobby met Ms. Amy Lawton. During their conversation, he shared that he was praying about starting a ministry in Manor. Without hesitation, Ms. Amy expressed her desire to join the ministry along with her four children and grandson. Passa Bobby informed her that this would be a “ground zero” ministry start, but she did not waver. She replied, “When you start, my family and I will be there.” Confirmation received!
As he continued praying for the ministry’s name, the Lord reminded Passa Bobby of the late Dr. Marrell C. Battle, Sr., and Mother Lenora S. Battle, founders of Greater New Life Church of God in Christ in Fountain, Colorado, established September 22, 1987. Their church theme was “The church is the oasis for the troubled mind.”
Passa Bobby was licensed as a minister under their leadership in 1989 and served faithfully in various roles before moving to Italy. While seeking confirmation for the ministry name, Missionary Camelia Lockhart—who had served alongside him under Pastor and Mother Battle—unexpectedly stated, “You’re going to name it Greater New Life in honor of Pastor and Mother Battle.” This was yet another confirmation received.

Pastor and Mother Battle
With a heart to honor Pastor and Mother Battle and the many lives touched through their ministry, Greater New Life Ministries of Manor, Texas was confirmed and brought into fruition.
